Industries

The most regulated environment you will ever contract in.

On an energy site the specification is not a preference. HCIS sets what the cameras must cover, how long the footage is kept, and what a guard must be trained to. A system that ignores it will not pass, and a supplier who did not ask will not tell you until it is installed.

01

What this sector actually demands

  • 01 Security personnel trained and supervised to HCIS standards
  • 02 CCTV specified against HCIS coverage and retention requirements, not against a price list
  • 03 Control-room capability that meets the standard rather than approximates it
  • 04 Equipment and personnel movement into restricted areas
  • 05 Hardened, segmented networks — an unsecured camera is a route into the plant

The regulators that govern this sector

Sector-specific, and named. A supplier who cannot name the authority governing your site has not worked on one.

High Commission for Industrial Security (HCIS)

HCIS specifies camera coverage at entries, exits, perimeters and critical assets, recording retention periods, and monitoring-station capability. On a regulated site this is a compliance boundary, not a design choice, and we design to it.

National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA)

Operational technology and networked security systems fall under the Essential Cybersecurity Controls. Cameras are hardened, segmented and patched.

This section describes the framework we deliver under. It is not a claim to hold any particular licence, classification grade or certification. Our registration, licence and classification details are provided on request and are published on this site only once verified — an unverified claim is worth less than none, and in a tender it is worth less than nothing.

Frequently asked questions

Do you know the HCIS CCTV requirements?

Yes, and the first question we will ask you is whether your site is HCIS-regulated. If it is, the specification is fixed and we design to it. If a supplier does not ask you that, they do not know.

Can you supply guards for a restricted site?

Guards on HCIS sites carry additional training, supervision and vetting requirements beyond the standard MOI licence. We will confirm what we hold before we quote.
